IM Global CEO Stuart Ford has curated the two-day film event in partnership with UK talent management firm Independent and local writer and producer Kevin Sampson.

The event will take place at Liverpool’s Foundation For Art And Creative Technology (FACT, pictured), the arts and media centre located in the Ropewalks district.

The first of day will be dedicated to the creative aspects of film-making while the second day will focus on the business of film.

Scheduled programme highlights included a discussion with Get Carter director Mike Hodges about his career and the crime genre, a masterclass with United Agents’ Natasha Galloway and Autobahn producer Ben Pugh on making big films on a budget, a pitch session and a showcase of upcoming UK talent.

Speakers include BBC Worldwide chief brands officer Amanda Hill, Scott Free producer Liza Marshall, Apollo Productions CEO and former British Film Commissioner Steve Norris, Aether screenwriter Krysty Wilson-Cairns, The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death screenwriter Jon Croker, IM Global’s Ford and colleagues Bonnie Voland and David Jourdan.

“The Dream Factory promises to be a vibrant, informative and richly entertaining two-day immersion programme into the best of British and international cinema,” said Ford. “I’m very excited to be in the thick of the action.”
