When the students of the National University go on strike, good friends Sombra and Santos find interesting ways to fill their days. This routine is interrupted by the arrival of Tomás, Sombra’s kid brother. Tomás convinces Sombra and Santos they must visit Mexican folk-rock legend Epigmenio Cruz who has been hospitalized somewhere in the city. What they thought would be a simple trip to find their childhood idol becomes a voyage of self-discovery across Mexico City’s invisible frontiers.
